Parc Le Breos Wedding photography and videography in Swansea

Creative Swansea wedding photographers at Parc Le Breos in Autumn.

We first met Charlotte and Alex when we captured their pre wedding photoshoot on Southgate Cliffs looking over towards Three Cliffs.  So, seeing them again felt like catching up with friends.

Charlotte and Alex chose an autumn wedding and though the skies were grey, their venue Parc Le Breos was just perfect for an autumn wedding as its décor and style fully embraced all the beauty of the season.

We love capturing wedding photography and videography at Parc Le Breos.  This Victorian country house was originally used as a hunting lodge and is set in the grounds of a Norman Deer Park.  A hidden gem, it’s discretely tucked away in woodlands behind the Gower Heritage Centre in Parkmill.  The team at Parc Le Breos only take on a handful of weddings each year, so it always feels like a privilege to work there.

On the day, we caught up with Charlotte and Alex who were both getting ready at Parc Le Breos in separate rooms, though we did get some sweet images of the two of them half way through the preparations with Charlotte rocking a crown, pyjamas and customized white doc martins look perfectly!  We also took a reveal image of Alex and Charlotte getting their first glimpse of each other all dressed and ready to get married!

Charlotte and her bridal part were getting ready in Parc Le Breos’ newly refurbished spacious bridal suite, that had enough room for her bridal party, a hair stylist and make up artist and us, the most unobtrusive duo of wedding photographer and videographer in South Wales.

We loved the colour scheme of Charlotte and Alex’s wedding.  They fully embraced autumn colours with beautiful bouquets of wild flowers, created by Sharon at Floral Innovations that complemented the bridesmaids rust satin dresses bought from Rewritten Bridesmaids perfectly.

Charlotte looked stunning in a gorgeous off the shoulder dress with puffy sleeves and beautiful layers of floaty skirt that she bought at Rock the Frock.  She teamed it with a gorgeous crown by Glorious by Heidi and some customized white Dr. Marten boots.  Her hair was gorgeously styled making the most of Charlotte’s natural waves by hair stylist Amy Adamson and her make-up had been expertly applied by make-up artist Katie Lancey of Gower Glow and looked immaculate, with Charlotte’s signature red lips really completing the look.   Charlotte looked so comfortable as a bride and beamed all day.  Us Swansea wedding photographers do love a smiley bride.

Alex looked very smart in a navy suit from Michelsberg Tailoring that he wore with a collarless white shirt, and completed his look with some great customized Nike trainers.  These two were going for a look of casual elegance and totally nailed it.

The wedding ceremony was held in Parc Le Breos’s light and airy conservatory, guest chairs were arranged to create a natural aisle and Charlotte and Alex said their vows in front of a beautiful arch of flowers with the door open to show views of the stunning garden beyond.  It was an idyllic setting for a wedding ceremony and having it bathed in tons of natural light, made it even easier to capture gorgeous wedding photography and film.  As South Wales wedding photographers, we are total geeks when it comes to light.

Charlotte was walked down the aisle by her dad, followed by her three bridesmaids and two very sweet flower girls who performed their duties perfectly.  The ceremony included two readings, Alex’s dad read a quote from ‘The Fellowship of the Rings’ book and Charlotte’s brother read the poem ‘Luminary’ by RS Thomas.  We love readings at weddings as they always tell us something of our couple’s personalities.

Everybody then enjoyed a drinks reception in Parc Le Breos’ and were free to enjoy exclusive use of the house.  Some sat on the cosy chesterfield sofas by the fireside, whilst others went for an explore of the house.  We whisked Charlotte and Alex away for a few minutes for a mini photoshoot around the gardens and grounds of Parc Le Breos.  The images we got of them by the pond were so romantic as well the ones by the apple cart next to the house wall that was covered in autumnal leaves.

And when Alex picked up some apples and started juggling, it was a perfect fun and spontaneous moment that we captured for the wedding film.

The wedding breakfast was in Parc Le Breos’ charming dining room.  This atmospheric room is abundant with period features and had been dressed beautifully.  Charlotte and Alex were welcomed to their table rapturously by their guests.  There followed a delicious wedding breakfast curated by Parc Le Breos’ talented team of in-house chefs in conjunction with Charlotte and Alex.  Seriously, the food looked amazing!

After which there were some very well received speeches by Charlotte’s dad . by Nigel, Barry, Carl and Waz – the three (yes, count them, three!) best men, who managed one speech between them, then Charlotte and then Alex.

Funny moment during wedding speech as the mother of the groom in a royal blue suit reenacts a memory of her son the groom, sat with the bride & groom at the top table with a floral display of autumn decor behind in a Parc Le Breos wedding in Swansea

After the meal, as guests happily milled about, we whisked Charlotte and Alex outside for a couple of romantic images of them by the large oak doors lit up by two traditional Victorian wall lanterns.  Parc Le Breos made a lovely backdrop lit up in the Autumn night photos.

Evening celebrations started with the cutting of a pizza (not a cake!) that had a very romantic arrangement of pepperoni slices arranged into a heart shape.  This was followed by a first dance.  Charlotte and Alex had hired the band Tribute who performed all of Charlotte and Alex’s favourite rock songs, even by their beloved Metallica.  The dance floor was packed all night and we got some really great images of everybody cutting their very best shapes and enjoying a singalong.

We had so much fun capturing Charlotte and Alex’s gorgeous autumn wedding at Parc Le Breos.  A fun wedding with a laidback and yet elegant vibe.  Congratulations to Charlotte and Alex for creating such a wonderful day.

We’ll leave the last words to Charlotte and Alex, here’s what they had to say about working with us.

OMG what can I say, we absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the photos and videos. They're exactly what we wanted and capture the day so well. We're having such a hard time choosing any favourite’s, they're all brilliant. And we didn't even notice you taking the majority of them which is a bonus! Thanks so much for capturing our day so perfectly, honestly 10/1”
